Procurement and Supply Chain Networking EventPresentations were delivered by 3 key speakers, covering different aspects of procurement. Carol Hustler from Supply London started the evening with an informative talk on identifying contract opportunities and how businesses needed to be prepared to win these contracts. This was followed by Kevin Ma from London Business Network who gave an insight into bidding for Olympic contracts and the supply chain opportunities by using the CompeteFor website. Finally, Colin Tipper of Wandsworth council's procurement team closed the presentations on the rules and regulations for tendering, particularly focusing on Wandsworth's contracts. Following this the three presenters took part in a question and answer panel and answered questions from the attending businesses. Approximately 70 small to medium sized businesses from Wandsworth, Lambeth and Southwark attended the event which allowed attendees to meet new contacts and raise company profiles over drinks and canapes. London B2B Net events will continue to take place in the New Year at 15 Hatfields. The next event is on 13th January 2009 on Accessing Finance in 2009.
