Public and Private Business Support OrganisationsFive speakers provided information on services that are accessible for SME’s to support business growth. Steve Mathews from The Advice Business started the evening with the benefits a mentor can be to your business. This presentation was followed by Jason Thorne on the importance of branding to your business. Beverley Wood from Peninsula Business Services followed on the topic of UK Employment Law and Health & Safety. Liam Hickey of GLE oneLondon continued the presentations on the services that they can offer to help businesses including grants, mentoring, training and advice. Finally Solicitor Shakar Elahi of Elan & Co closed the speakers with his top tips for a successful business. The panel were then open to questions from the floor. Over 50 small to medium sized businesses from Wandsworth, Lambeth and Southwark attended the event which allowed attendees to meet new contacts and raise company profiles over drinks and canapés. A regular attendee, Lisa Newton from Boogles Ltd said of the event: “Brilliant, I hope they continue, the only events like this I know of that help business' in these boroughs” The last in the series of themed events before the summer break will take place in the first week in June.
